Accenture Hour Of Code

Accenture Hour Of Code



This morning we all got in taxies and left school at 9.00 am to go to Middleton which is in town. On the way there all the girls and Chance were singing, it was pretty cool, me and Catherine also took photos with everyone. When we got there we meet in the front of Middleton, we had 90 seconds come to middleton to film us for the day.  After waiting outside for a few minutes 90 second tv show told us to walk pass the camera two times. We went in inside, as we got inside we meet a few people that worked there. There names were Emma, Ash and Bryce.


Next we up on the elevators to level 12.  We got up to level 12 and meet everyone also had a little snack, next we got a tour of the office area, we back inside the Matariki room and did our coding on to make our photobooth app. After we finished we went to the gaming room and had a few turns on the games, next we had a morning tea, we had fruit sticks and muffins, then we went back to coding, after all that we had a lunch, we had sandwiches, then left to go back to school… On the way back we started singing.

Tuakana Teina - Mehi and Teina


Today my class had Tuakana Teina with Room's 1 and 2. For Tuakana Teina us year 8's had to use our imaginations and create a game that noone has created or played. The game I created is called Stodgeball. The instructions are in the presentation above. It was great fun playing with the students and some even said that our game was the BEST!
